In Patacamaya
Patacamaya is town located on the Altiplano halfway between the city of La Paz and Oruro. The name of the town means 100 dead and is named after a battle between the Quechua and the Aymara that left 100 women dead. It is here that Pastor Juan and Ron and Rhonda planted a church called Luz y Vida, (Light and Life). It started with just a handful of people. You can see our original group with Rhonda is a small room in the town.
Under the leadership of Pastor Juan, it has grown to a healthy congregation of 200 people and in March 2019 they put a roof on their own church building. Pastor Juan also is the leader of the village church of Calacachi and he has recently begun reaching into the city of Oruro with another Pastor and another village Huancayno.
More news will be coming about this wonderful work soon.
